My name is Marshal and I used to have a kick-ass website gigglehertz.com
but I got tired of paying yahoo $11/month just for the honor of having my own domain that nobody ever looked at.
I started keeping a simple blog over at blogspot just so people wouldn't forget who I was, but that's pretty boring.
At the time blogspot couldn't host pictures (they've since added that capability) so I started up an account over at
Sony imagestation which was also free but I was never impressed with it so I didn't upload much to it. I then
started up a page on mySpace just so I could network with all the teenagers I work with who use it because they
aren't smart enough to have a real website. I then got interested in doing videos which some people call podcasting
but that's only one specific format, so I started up another free account this time at blip.tv which is pretty cool
but lately it's been invaded by people illegally posting music videos from wacky places like Vietnam and Croatia.
Then my buddy crawdaddy (Mallett) offered to let me use his spare hosting capacity/bandwidth to post whatever.
Honestly I have no idea what this is going to be used for but it does free me up from the format restrictions of the
free sites. Most of my old site was lost when my old computer crashed, so I probably won't be able to resurrect it
so I'll start over from scratch.
One thing that will be different this time is I don't have FrontPage to rely on so I will finally have to learn HTML.
Yay.
